The redesign & refurbishment of St. Leo’s Secondary College school chapel.
Originally cold, dark and in disrepair, the challenge of this project was to retain the original heritage architectural detail and intent but update it to the modern day, and bring life back into the unused space.
The solution was to raise the roof, add a new ceiling lined with timber panels, and incorporate high line windows. This enabled the space to feel better while still retaining privacy, with the added height, natural finishes and a lighter, brighter interior. The furniture, shelving and flooring were also replaced and refinished to freshen up the space.
