The Raheen project is a renovation of a 4 bedroom home located in Kew, Melbourne, which epitomizes the charm of 1970s mid-century living. Originally crafted by Chancellor & Patrick Architects, the preservation of its authentic character guided the refurbishment, which blends the old and new design elements together. Raheen’s ingenuity lies in its modern reinterpretation and homage to mid-century design principles, preserving the dynamic nostalgia and original features like German blown glass chandeliers and wall-hung ashtrays. The meticulously restored contrasting brickwork takes center stage, infusing rich tones that seamlessly connect indoor and outdoor spaces. This design ethos extends to the bathroom, where floor-to-ceiling stacked tiles echo the mid-century aesthetic.

Every detail was carefully curated, from the natural rattan and rolled-edged Corian stonework to the hanging fireplace and authentic furniture selections.
