Intercontinential Melbourne THe Rialto, UNDER EQUISET
The extensive redevelopment require strict compliance with the tight 11 month programme, which was unable to be adjusted due to the pre-booking of hotel rooms. The attention to detail required necessitated simultaneous action on multiple work faces to meet the project deadline.
The hotel required considerable restoration and alteration of heritage works, such as brickwork, windows and changes to the facade. Historically compatible construction techniques were used to enhance the detail of the finished product.
Joinery was a majority component of this refurbishment, with several sub-contractors working at once to complete the large quantity by the end date. The mosaic that occupies almost an entire wall in the Brassiere was design and created especially for the hotel.
All works undertaken during the $65M refurbishment was conducted under the Equiset Grollo Group.
